Inara - 6 months

What she is yelling at, we have no idea.

One of my goals this year is to take better pictures. Now that life has slowed and we are in the grove as new parents now is the time.

Hope you enjoy these. I promise I will work on lighting. We are going back out tomorrow.

Baby's Christmas Ornaments

LOVE THEM! It is actually wall vinyl on the ornament (I am a creative genius admit it :-)

It is that time again...

Yup! It is party planning time. Inara's First Birthday is coming up FAST and I have BIG, and I mean HUGE plans!

Here are some things we have decided on:

Cake

We need 2 cakes one for her one year pictures scheduled for the 17th of July and one for her party July 11:

This is the cake for her party on the 11th (only 2 tiers and much smaller). Remind you of her bedding? It should we are using her bedding for her crib as our color scheme and decor. Inara LOVES her circles.

However it will only have 2 tiers (one layer the stripe and the other layer dots), like this one:

For her first birthday cake we are going with a cake like this (square with a bow) done in the circles:

But I think I like this bow better:

We are going cake tasting on Monday next month.

We covering the ceiling in our dining room with paper lanters (in red, blue and green) same lanters that we used in her nursery. Hobby Lobby has them and I get all the lanterns we need for like $40.

Remember this? I made this parasol for our wedding and will be making Inara one based off her monogram in her nursery.

I am also ordering some white lanterns and will paint the words Inara's First Birthday on them and hang them up. I will also be making a happy birthday banner if my amazing Stampin Up Demonstrator Megan Daves will let me use her big shot again.

And somehow I scored a customized photo stamps package at Walmart for $4 (regular $20). I get 20 first class stamps staring Inara!!!! I cannot wait to put them on the envelopes.

Plus so much more including cupcakes!!! You will not want to miss it!

6 month pictures and RSV

Inara was diagnosed with RSV earlier this week and her 6 month pictures had to be cancelled :-(
BUT we will rebook for sometime very soon!

We have also made it our New Year's resolution to take more pictures of Inara - so each weekend we will be going somewhere to take pictures. Stay tuned!

We visited Santa on December 12. She was off his lap in less than 10 seconds, no trying to get a smile. Just snap and move on to the next kid!
