Stats

Inara turned one on July 11, 2009

She weighs 21 pds 11 ounces & is 29.5 inches tall. She is fully mobile, walking, running and if she falls down can get herself back into walking position and takes off. She rarely ever crawls now.

At the pedi's office Inara met all of her milestones (all except the one related to speech) and has already completed EVERY 15 month milestone (except the one related to speech) and is working on 18 month milestones at only 12 months!

Speaking of speech, we are still in Speech Therapy as Inara's receptive communication skills (what she understands & executes) are testing at 15-18 months, while her expressive communication (verbal) is testing only 10 months.

Inara signs more & all done (sometimes milk but it looks more like a wave). She can follow simple commands (flush the toilet, where are your shoes, make it go beep beep, turn the wheel, in, out, pat the back, etc). She can point out items in in a book (cow, red balloon, etc) when you ask where they are. She stacks blocks, can point out head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth & bellybutton. When I say foot, she gives me her foot to put her shoes on + much much more. She has learned so much! What a difference a year makes!

Meet Jen & Emma

Emma is Inara's best friend. They play so well together. Well as long as they are at
Emma's house. Jen is one of my closest friends. I do not know what I would do
without her.

Just for Fun

Who is Your Dada?

Eventhough she looks nothing like either of us (blonde hair, blue eyes). I think it is safe
to say, we know exactly who the dada is.

Inara & Swimming Lessons

Here are some pictures from Inara's swimming lessons. She is such a fish. We took our first lessons in April-May and then again just the last 2 weeks in June. Inara received permission
from our instructor to move up to the next level without meeting the age requirement! Congrats to our little fish.

Really we are not drowning her in the first picture. We practice going underwater.

Sorry, guys. All my pictures are in RAW and I need some time to convert and edit.
